Samuel May Williams papers

The Samuel May Williams papers consist of letters and drafts of letters, bills and receipts, promissory notes, and memoranda created or collected by Samuel May Williams. The earlier papers mainly relate to the Republic of Texas; later papers after 1847 concern banking interests and financial affairs. Personal papers are interfiled throughout the collection. An annotated calendar of these papers was published by the Rosenberg Library in 1956.
