IdentifierMaps_251cDate1836DescriptionAccording to Streeter (Bibliography, no. 1199) the map was probably lithographed as late as January, 1836, for it notes Ben Milam's death in the storming of Bexar by the Texas on December 10, 1835. Lee adapted the map from a later issue of Austin's map (see no. 236), probably the 1835 issue. Only three human features appear on or near Galveston Bay: Harrisburg, Anahuac, and a "Salt Works" opposite Anahuac.
