IdentifierMaps_311bDate1855DescriptionThe map focuses on railroads. The earlier issue shows the tracks of the Buffalo Bayou, Brazos and Colorado Railroad, then under construction from Harrisburg to Richmond. Four additional proposed lines, including the "Atlantic and Pacific Railroad," appear.

This later issue adds several more proposed lines, including two "Pacific" railroads. A northern "Pacific" line follows the north bank of the Red River, crosses into Texas in Grayson County, then runs west-southwest through "Ft. Belknap" and by Big Springs to El Paso.
