The collection - Galveston Photographic Subject Files regarding Parades is an artificial collection gathered by staff of the Galveston and Texas History Center over the years. It consists of individual photographs, donated or found, and brought together under one subject heading. This collection consists of photographs of Galveston parades, dating from the late 19th century to the 20th century. Parades include the San Jacinto Day parade, the Cotton Carnival parade, and Labor Day parades. Photographs of marching and drilling societies and flag ceremonies are also included in the collection.
