Galveston Photographic Subject Files: Medicine

The collection - Galveston Photographic Subject Files regarding Medicine is an artificial collection gathered by staff of the Galveston and Texas History Center over the years. It consists of individual postcards and photographs, donated or found, and brought together under one subject heading. This collection consists of photographs of hospitals in Galveston, including John Sealy Hospital, St. Mary's Infirmary, the United States Marine Hospital, and the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, Burns Institute. The collection also contains photographs of patients, doctors, nurses, and other staff, as well as photographs of the University of Texas Medical Branch campus.
