The collection - Galveston Photographic Subject Files regarding Social Activity is an artificial collection gathered by staff of the Galveston and Texas History Center over the years. It consists of individual photographs, donated or found, and brought together under one subject heading. This collection consists of photographs documenting social gatherings, celebrations, protests, and festivals in Galveston, Texas from the 19th to the 21st centuries. Events include funerals, Dickens on the Strand, Mardi Gras, Henry Rosenberg Day, Splash Day, and the Oleander Festival.
