The presence of street names Colorado and Palmer (William Jackson?) indicate that the developers may have had contact with the Colorado investors involved in the Denver resurvey (see no. 412). The Highland Park subdivision never developed as projected; however, several streets in the area today bear names originally proposed for the addition. Highland Park also appers on Courtney Washington's map of 1928 (see no. 509) and R.W. Luttrell's map of 1902 (see no. 464).
