IdentifierMaps_464aDate1902DescriptionSince 1837, when Trimble and Lindsey conducted the original survey of Galveston Island, the contour of the island had changed significantly, necessitating this resurvey. Luttrell preserves the four Trimble and Lindsey sections and their ten-acre lots and lot numbers, though most of the shoreline lots have increased or decreased in size, depending upon shoreline changes. Luttrell also records the Hall and Jones sections of 1839 and many human and topographical details.
